All students arrived safely in Beijing today. After the airport, we quickly dropped off our bags at our apartment then walked to our first proper chinese dinner. Everyone was hungry and we all enjoyed the various conversations peppering the dinner table. An introduction to Lifeworks followed dinner. Then, in an attempt to keep all the students awake until 9pm to help beat jet-lag, the staff began a game of the "human knot"- which kept everyone awake and laughing until the acceptable hour of 8:15pm. 9pm was reached through the help of Uno :-)
