Today we awoke to a sunshiney day. We drove up and down hills on a death defying journey to our worksite, Picagres High School. We split up into two WONDERFULY led groups where we worked tirelessly shoveling dirt, lifting rocks, and filling in cracks with cement. Our first Costa Rican thunderstorm was fanTASTIC. We then went to lunch and bonded. When we finished the day, we came back to the hotel and had a siesta. Then after a tasty dinner we learned about the Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation that we will be working with and had some reflective time about service work.
