We're Back!

We arrived in Beijing at 7a.m this morning at the train station--exhausted. We had a lot of fun in Xi'an, but we're happy to be back. Those of us who went to the baby home this morning learned that there are new preemie babies coming to the orphanage. We can't wait to see them, we've heard that they are adorable but we are pretty sure that they are much more than that. We met back up with everyone at the apartment for lunch and then went to Wu Shu (better known as Kung Fu). We were taught by students who are in training. They were amazing-- the ages ranged from about nine to seventeen. The nine year old kids hardly came up to our chests, but they showed us, within the first demonstration, that size doesn't matter. The older students were so fluid in their motion-we wished we could be that smooth! We've come to the conclusion that we'd rather not meet them in a dark alley way. We had a great time watching and attempting moves that were far beyond our skill level. All things good and bad must come to an end (two hours flew by fast) so we said goodbye and walked back to the apartment once again.
