Mangrove Surveying

I woke the chefs up today at 6:45 to make pancakes. Aaron and Carlos, the chefs, messed up the pancakes in the beginning, but they eventually started to make good pancakes and breakfast turned out great. We then set sail for Marina Cay from Anegada. We left at around 9:00 and we had wind blowing at 15-20 mph. We finally got to sail after a couple of days being anchored in Anegada. At our fastest we were going 9 knots. When we arrived at the mangrove site, we first had lunch, and then took the dinghies over to the mangroves. There were only 5 alive ones out of 33. We replanted the mangroves that were dead. On the way back to the boat from the mangroves, the sea was very choppy and we got really wet. We then did our laundry for the first time of the trip. We then went to Marina Cay to get water and pick up a mooring ball for the night. The wind was very strong and it started to rain really had during dinner and we all got very wet. Myself and some other shipmates took showers during the rain storm.it was cool. Goodnight.
