Last Hike of Spy Glass

This morning started out as an early one. A lot of us were up really late last night finishing the closing Lifeworks Forum so it was difficult for people to get up. Instead of getting up and eating breakfast, we all got up and did the hike to Spy Glass, the same hike we did the beginning of the trip. Insteade of us taking us 30 mins like the first time, we all hiked to the top in 15 mins. I guess it couldn't compare to the hike for Mt. Sage. Once we got to the top, we all said a few things about the trip we wanted to take with us back home and the things we wanted to leave behind. We also talked about if we met our goals that we wrote down on the first hike and how we thought we grew from this experience. Everyone had the bitter sweet feeling of not wanting this experience to end. Once we were back down from Spy Glass, we had some oatmeal for breakfast and began to set sail for West End where the trip began. The trip was a little rocky, not as clam as we are used to. Once we docked, we started our BA (aka: boat appreciation). While decking it started to pour! Everyone was going out into the rain, but then had to stay focused and had to get the job done. We cleaned the boat inside and out, which took many hours. Bigorneau never looked so good! After BA, we had some free time. Many people showered and went to Pussers to grab something to eat. Sophie and I split a Quesidia which was amazing. Then we auctioned off our AQ flag and got the wining bid of $50 which all proceeds go to VISAR. We had our last BBQ and Mike gave us a closing meeting with everyone. Everyone is all packed and some are leaving as early as 4:45 am. There will be some tears and hugs good bye but the memories from the trip will last forever!
