Location: San Cristobal to Quito
Though today was solely a travel day, it was quite eventful. We started off the morning with the normal breakfast call, "hola, buenos dias, good morning, breakfast is ready." and proceeded to walk sleepily to the kitchen and have a fabulous meal of fresh fruit and fresh scrambled eggs. Unlike every other day breakfast was followed by a bus ride to the airport as opposed to a service site. After some last minute souvenirs and many card games it was time to leave the beautiful Galapagos. Our departure was bittersweet: we were leaving our home of the past two weeks but were about to begin our adventure in the Amazon. After our arrival in Quito, the focus was food. SO both the ending of the Galapagos and the beginning of the Amazon were marked by a long awaited dinner of fajitas and a quiet night.
